Women of Gospel & Leicester Women's Gospel Choir

If you passed Riverside Business & Enterprise College on Saturday, 24th April, 2010 and heard female vocals ringing out, you would not have been mistaken.  On that night the school was filled with the sounds of female gospel artists from Leicester and beyond sharing their musical talents.  The night also featured the joyous and melodious sounds of Leicester Women's Gospel Choir who were having their official launch on that evening.

Hosted by Michelle Charles and Richelle Anim, the audience were treated to the  vocal sounds of Rose and Jenny, Shekinah, Chloe, Anthea and Lola.  There were further artistic talents through the spoken word by Sarah, and women from the choir presenting the "Phenomenal Woman" poem.

It was a really great event, added to by the wonderful array of refreshments provided by the women themselves.

Chair of the Choir, Lisa Hill, spoke very positively about her experience of being in the choir and encouraged other women to come along and join them on monday nights from 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm at the African Caribbean Centre.

We look forward to an interesting future for this choir.
