• develop their awareness of local organisations and agencies.

The project is seeking to register 15 women who will meet weekly on a Thursday afternoon at the Shama Women's Centre, Sparkenhoe Street, Leicester.  It is a 12 week programme that includes creative arts activities (music, singing, pottery etc), working with Nextstep to assist in career possibilities and training and  hosting speakers from different support organisations in the city. There will also be opportunity to look at barriers that this group faces and work on how to overcome them to assist smooth transition to living in this country.
