GIRLS CAN...

Girls Can... was launched on 7th September, 2010 at the African Caribbean Centre in Leicester. Supported by Kainé Management the group brings together girls aged 12 - 16 years to engage in positive activities, have fun and make new friends.   The girls who attend, suggest their own programming and a long list of activities that the girls want to take part in has been compiled and they are slowly working through each and every suggestion.   Having just celebrated their one year anniversary, they have had dvd and games nights, shopping trips to Bristol and Birmingham, built their own raft and sailed on it at the outdoor pursuits centre, had trips to the theatre, taken zumba classes and much more is to come.  It is something fresh for girls in Leicester and thrives to attract those who have positive attitudes and want to get involved.

 Maxine Chambers helps to the run the group supported by Justine our volunteer.  We are looking forward to bigger and better over the coming months.
