Leicester Women's Gospel Choir

It started as a 10 weeks of free singing workshops for women.  Very popular from the start it registered nearly 40 women who came together for 2 hours/week on a Monday night at Leicester Y to learn gospel and inspirational songs. At the close of the workshops the Women performed at the Festival Of Choirs event on 28th November, 2009 and event that featured gospel and community choirs from the City of Leicester. Their efforts were instantly acclaimed as this lively, singing group entertained and impressed the audience with their renditions of "Looking For A Miracle",  "Glorious" and "Something Inside So Strong".  Their feelings about it have been very positive

"I have been singing for 25 years plus, but I have found new things to learn, inspiring and uplifting music to sing and enjoy.  My daughter Elen and I have found joining the women's choir life enhancing and GREAT FUN."

They now seek to develop as a performing group under the umbrella of Kainé Management.
