Kainé Management - Gospel Choir

Kainé Management Group: General

Kainé Management Group was officially constituted in May 2002 as a voluntary gospel arts project,as well as continuing to manage Kainé Gospel Choir which was established in 2001. Kainé set out to run its projects and activities under its 3 main aims of:-

  • Promoting and developing gospel arts
  • Raising Cultural awareness
  • Raising the Achievements and Aspirations of disadvantaged individuals.
During the past 7 years the organisation has been successful in achieving its aims and expanding its horizons to accommodate the different requests and approaches that have been received.

From its roots as being managed by a small voluntary committee and operating out of a private home, the organisation now has its own office within the Leicester Creative Business Depot and employs 2 part time staff.  Together with the management committee and other volunteers, the staff are able to:
  1. Manage our gospel groups and events – Kainé Gospel Choir, New Creation Choir, New I.D. Drama Group, Children’s Gospel Festival, Women of Gospel Events and The Kainé Showcase Events.
  2. Engage in Cultural Activities – Sing Freedom, Black History Season, Martin Luther King Celebrations
  3. Offer Help and Support – The Yes You Can Youth Club, Kauchume SDA School in Gambia, Singing Workshops in schools and community settings.

We look forward to the expansion of this in the future and have attracted new interest since our recent work with Curve and our performance for Her Majesty The Queen. We have completed some great work and had some wonderful opportunities due to working in partnership with venues and organisations in the city, region and country.  We are grateful for these opportunities and would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us and worked with us over the past 7 years.

Mission Statement

Kainé Management Group is a voluntary arts and community organisation dedicated to increasing opportuntiies for the development of gospel arts, raising cultural awareness and the aspirations and achievements of disadvantaged individuals.  This is achieved through the implementation of programming that inspires and nurtures creativity, motivates and celebrates achievement.
